Ensco Q3 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Offshore drilling contractor Ensco plc (ESV) reported third-quarter net income attributable to company of $429.4 million or $1.83 per share, higher than $378.8 million or $1.62 per share in the prior-year quarter.

Income from continuing operations for the quarter increased to $455.7 million or $1.93 per share from $390.9 million or $1.66 per share in the year-ago quarter.

On average, 26 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $1.61 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
