Engility Holdings' Dynamics Research Wins $497 Mln Army Contract - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Engility Holdings (EGL) said one of its subsidiaries were granted a $497 million indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity or IDIQ contract with the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center or CERDEC, Space and Terrestrial Communications Directorate or S&TCD, at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Last year, the contract was bid by Dynamics Research Corp. or DRC, which became a subsidiary of Engility on January 31, 2014. Engility through DRC is one of eight large prime contractors awarded the Technical, Administrative, and Operations Support Services or TAOSS contract. CERDEC is the Army's center with the mission to develop and integrate Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance technologies that enable information dominance and decisive lethality for the networked Warfighter.

According to the contract, Engility would head a team of 21 companies that would support secure wireless military communications and network technologies, and provide research and development, engineering, logistics and business operations support for the S&TCD. The contract has a 3-year period of performance with two option years.
