Emmis Radio and Nobex Radio Companion™ Partner to Deliver Radio Stations to Your BlackBerry Smartphone

Emmis Communications Corporation, (NASDAQ:EMMS) and Nobex Technologies today announced that they have entered into a co-branding and distribution agreement of Nobex Radio Companion™. Emmis is the 8th largest radio group in the U.S . - based on listeners. Nobex Radio Companion allows BlackBerry® smartphone users to listen to Emmis Radio stations and more than 3,000 other stations from around the world. Starting immediately, customers can select a version of Nobex Radio Companion that comes pre-set with their favorite Emmis Radio station. For example, to download a version that automatically pre-sets and plays WQHT-FM HOT 97, Emmis’ hip-hop leader in New York, customers can use the browser on their BlackBerry smartphone to go to http://www.nobexrc.com/wqhtfm, and download Nobex Radio Companion from there. Only one Nobex Radio Companion application needs to be installed on a BlackBerry smartphone and the user can add any additional Emmis station to the Nobex playlist.

Nobex Radio Companion also provides customers with a way to get songs or ringtones with a single click; to see the lyrics of songs, synchronized with the music; to see song and artist information; and to receive an email with links to buy the song from their PCs.
