Emergent BioSolutions Names Barry Labinger EVP, President Of Biosciences Unit

(RTTNews) - Emergent BioSolutions Inc. (EBS) has named Barry Labinger as its Executive Vice President and President, Biosciences Division, directly reporting to Daniel Abdun-Nabi, Emergent's President and Chief Executive. Labinger would be responsible for the strategic direction and management of the company's biosciences unit, including the development, manufacturing, and commercialization of biosciences product candidates; the advancement of partnering initiatives around Emergent's biosciences programs and platform technologies MVAtor; and the integration of future product acquisitions into the unit.

Labinger served as executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Human Genome Sciences, Inc. from 2005 to 2012. He has held several executive roles, including global head of 3M Pharmaceuticals from 2002 to 2005, and senior vice president and general manager commercial operations, and vice president, Enbrel marketing, at Immunex Corp. from 2000 to 2002.
