Validates Embarcadero DT/Studio as a Leading Data Integration Solution
    Embarcadero(R) Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:EMBT), a provider of data lifecycle management solutions, today announced a strategic OEM relationship with TIBCO Software Inc. wherein Embarcadero's DT/Studio(R) software will serve as the extensible, standards-based, high-performance data integration engine behind TIBCO(R) DataExchange, an important extension to the TIBCO(R) BusinessWorks integration platform. The expanded relationship between the two companies enables TIBCO to both respond to strong customer demand for a proven extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) solution, and to strengthen their leadership position in the integration and business process management markets. The deal further provides industry validation of Embarcadero DT/Studio as a robust yet cost-effective solution for every day data integration projects.

    According to the terms of the agreement, TIBCO is granted a license to embed Embarcadero DT/Studio, as well as provide the DT/Studio and DT/Engine user interfaces in a manner that is transparent to end users. Embarcadero will support this relationship through product enhancements designed to further facilitate the embedding of the DT/Studio solution. TIBCO will manage the product release and will drive the marketing and sales of the TIBCO DataExchange product.
