Elbit Systems Wins $45 Mln European Contract For Military Communications Systems

(RTTNews) - Elbit Systems Ltd. (ESLT), an Israeli high technology company, announced Wednesday that it was awarded an approximately $45 million contract from a European country for the supply of military communications systems. The contract will be performed over a two-year period.

The mobile communications systems are part of the CNR-9000 and HF-6000 product families. These will be provided to a wide range of users, from the individual soldier to the division level, in dismounted and mounted configurations, for both medium and long-range distances.

The company noted that tTens of thousands of these systems are already in use by numerous armed forces around the world.

Yehuda (Udi) Vered, General Manager of Elbit Systems Land & C4I Division said, "There is a need for a reliable voice and data transfer in the modern battlefield, and the decision of this customer to equip its army with our systems reflects the recognition of the high quality and functionality of our communications products."
