EGPI Firecreek, Inc. Subsidiary Terra Telecom Awarded Bid to Upgrade the U.S. Headquarters of a Global Enterprise Organization

EGPI Firecreek, Inc. (OTCBB: EFIR) is pleased to announce that a global manufacturer has selected Terra Telecom Inc. to replace an outdated digital phone system with a VoIP platform possessing the most advanced IP telephony features and capability to interoperate with their corporate headquarters in Europe and other global sites.

The manufacturing company is one of the world’s leading providers of advanced technology systems for the semiconductor industry, offering lithography systems for the manufacturers of complex integrated circuits. The company chose Terra Telecom based upon a European partner’s recommendation, due to Terra Telecom’s reputation as an expert partner in deploying advanced voice systems over multi-site locations in North America.

The immediate need for the global organization was to move away from its antiquated phone systems in various offices, while making steps towards overall conformity in a state of the art voice communication platform for the U.S. offices, its European headquarters, and other global facilities. The company needed a reliable and flexible partner to contribute incrementally to this overall objective and vision.

The plan was for an initial installation of a new PBX phone platform at the company’s largest U.S. user site in Connecticut. Terra then deployed the smaller sites one at a time, eventually connecting back to the Connecticut hub. The Connecticut site then connected back to their European headquarters, creating one solid voice network between their U.S. and European operations.

The company initially planned three weeks for the initial phone system cutover and installation at the Connecticut site. Terra Telecom implemented the system in days. Terra’s ability to shorten the install time significantly allowed the company to continue business operations with minimal impact and the Connecticut site was able to reap the benefits of using an advanced IP telephony system much earlier than anticipated.

As a result, the company reduced the operational expenses of managing their phone system. Phone user moves, additions and changes on a VoIP PBX, could be performed conveniently and quickly, saving significant time for the IT department in administering the telephone network.

Another key contribution of Terra Telecom was its ability to work with both the company and its European partner, which allowed the VoIP PBX to interoperate with the company’s voicemail platform, Microsoft’s Office Communicator (OCS). Terra was able to lend its expertise and adjust the many facets and requirements introduced by the company during the voice network planning stage.

Moving forward, Terra Telecom will continue to offer expertise and contributions to the networking of the remaining US sites onto a single consistent voice platform that will further bring down overall expenses by fully centralizing the management of their voice network.

Wade Clark, CEO of Terra Telecom stated, "The efficient implementation and ongoing relationship with this enterprise organization demonstrates Terra’s technical capability, performance, and superior customer service. These trademarks, together with our customer concentric business approach, continue to increase our clients total value.”
