Ebix Q1 EPS Drops - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Ebix, Inc. (EBIX), a supplier of On-Demand software and E-commerce services to the insurance, finance and healthcare industries, said first-quarter net income declined to $15.42 million from $17.34 million in the prior year. Earnings per share dropped to $0.40 from $0.45.

Total revenue fell to $51.4 million from $52.6 million in the prior year.

Separately, the company announced its plans to enter the field of telemedicine and consumer health markets, with the launch of A.D.A.M. OnDemand.

Ebix has developed a step wise plan to convert the A.D.A.M. brand into a household healthcare brand through the phased launch of a few key initiatives, including the launch of an integrated telemedicine service over the next few months and the launch of a fully integrated cloud-based global medical treatment exchange for patients and healthcare providers.
