Dow Chemical Co Profit Climbs 7% In Q4

(RTTNews) - Dow Chemical Co (DOW) revealed earnings for its fourth quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $1.06 billion, or $0.93 per share. This was up from $992 million, or $0.85 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.70 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 15.4% to $11.35 billion. This was down from $13.41 billion last year.
