Dover Names Bill Spurgeon President, CEO Of Engineered Systems Segment

(RTTNews) - Dover Corp. (DOV), a diversified manufacturer of specialized products and components, Monday announced leadership changes at two of its operating segments.

The company has appointed William Spurgeon, Jr., currently President & Chief Executive Officer of Dover's Energy segment, as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Engineered Systems segment.

Soma Somasundaram has been promoted to the role of President and Chief Executive Officer of the Energy segment, succeeding Spurgeon.

The company noted that Spurgeon succeeds Thomas Giacomini, who has left the company for a CEO role at a public global industrial company. Spurgeon has been with Dover since 1993 and has served in progressively senior positions.

Somasundaram has been with Dover since 2004, most recently serving as the Executive Vice President of Dover's Energy segment since December 2011.
