Dover Corp Bottom Line Climbs 73% In Q1

(RTTNews) - Dover Corp (DOV) announced earnings for its first quarter that advanced from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $172.25 million, or $1.09 per share. This was higher than $99.36 million, or $0.64 per share, in last year's first quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.61 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 11.7% to $1.81 billion. This was up from $1.62 billion last year.
