Dover Corp Announces 23% Retreat In Q2 Profit

(RTTNews) - Dover Corp (DOV) revealed a profit for second quarter that decreased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its profit came in at $119.51 million, or $0.76 per share. This was lower than $155.63 million, or $0.97 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.85 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 4.0% to $1.69 billion. This was down from $1.76 billion last year.
