Domtar Names Michael Garcia President, Domtar Pulp And Paper - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Domtar Corp. (UFS, UFS.TO) has appointed Michael Garcia as President of Domtar Pulp and Paper, with effect from May 1, 2014. In this new role, Garcia would oversee the operations of North America's largest producer of uncoated freesheet paper and top-three market pulp producers, via. a network of thirteen mills in the United States and Canada.

Garcia joins Domtar from his role as Chief Executive of Evraz Highveld Steel & Vanadium Co. in the Eastern Cape of South Africa.

"With over 20 years of international management experience in paper and steel and aluminum manufacturing and marketing on three continents, Michael brings a wealth of strategic and operational expertise to this key position at the helm of our core business," said Domtar President and CEO, John Williams.
