Dolby Audio Technologies Play Supporting Role in Oscar Nominated Films
Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:DLB) announced today that all films nominated for an Oscar® in the Achievement in Sound Editing and Achievement in Sound Mixing categories included Dolby® audio technologies.
This marks 32 consecutive years that films released with Dolby audio technologies have earned Academy Award® nominations for outstanding sound quality. Recognized as the de facto standard for high-quality audio in cinema, Dolby's audio technologies, including Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Surround EXTM, dramatically enhance the cinema-going experience.
"Dolby congratulates the talented sound mixers and editors nominated for this year’s Academy Awards," said Page Haun, Senior Director, Marketing, Cinema Segment, Dolby Laboratories. The 82nd annual Academy Awards are scheduled to be televised live from Hollywood's Kodak Theatre in high definition and Dolby Digital 5.1 by the ABC Television Network on Sunday, March 7, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. PT/8:00 p.m. ET.
