RIB Software AG (RIB) signs a Phase II iTWO contract (No. 5 / 2016) with National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin, China

Tianjin, China, 18 April 2016. RIB Software AG, the world's leading provider of 5D BIM Big Data technology for the construction industry, has signed a phase II iTWO contract (No.5/2016) with National Supercomputing Center in Tianjin (NSCC-TJ). iTWO was chosen as the only 5D BIM enterprise solution for this top computing centre in China, and the cooperation is believed to be the best example of the integration between high-performance computing and advanced 5D BIM end-to-end software technology.

NSCC-TJ has developed one of the fastest computers in the world and built up a state-of-the-art supercomputing centre to provide the IT infrastructure for big data and cloud solutions for multi-type government projects and over 300 organizations in China. NSCC-TJ has decided on using the transformative iTWO 5D BIM technology in the nation-wide projects that run by its operation entity - Tianhe Dacheng Construction Cloud Technology Co., Ltd. iTWO will be first implemented in the 5D BIM lifecycle management of the whole Tianjin Z4 Subway Line project, a multi-billion USD flagship project in the "Smart City" government program in Tianjin, and rolled out to all the large-scale urban construction projects.

An iTWO 5D Lab will be built at the Tianjin Headquarters under the cooperation of NSCC-TJ and RIB, with the target of effective iTWO training and collaborative management. NSCC-TJ will introduce new thinking, new working method and new technology in its business and deepen the localization of iTWO technology, running together with RIB to advance the construction engineering management in China into a higher level.
