Einhell-Group generated record turnover in 2017

In financial year 2017 Einhell generated revenues of EUR 553.4 million (previous year EUR 487.2 million). Compared to the previous year, revenues increased significantly again.

The main reason for this is a significant increase in revenues in Europe and Australia.

In the D/A/CH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), revenues increased to EUR 220.0 million (previous year: EUR 201.4 million).

Revenues in Western Europe increased to EUR 103.6 million (previous year: EUR 82.0 million). France, Italy and UK are among the significant sales markets.

Revenues in Eastern Europe amount to EUR 67.7 million (previous year: EUR 60.7 million) in the period under review.

In the Overseas region revenues increased to EUR 135.4 million (previous year: EUR 115.9 million).

In the Other countries revenues declined by EUR 0.5 million to EUR 26.7 million (previous year EUR 27.2 million).

Higher revenues were achieved mainly through a consistent product range policy and strong, innovative products like the power exchange range. E-commerce also saw rising revenues in financial year 2017.

Significant increase in earnings

The Einhell Group generated profit before taxes of EUR 35.7 million (previous year: EUR 17.0 million) in financial year 2017. The pre-tax margin amounts to 6.5% (previous year: 3.5%). Adjusted for PPA effects, profit before taxes amounts to EUR 37.5 million (previous year: EUR 18.8 million) and the pre-tax margin is 6.8% (previous year: 3.9%).

The earnings situation thus further improved significantly compared to the previous year.

The net income after minority's interest amount to EUR 21.2 million (previous year: EUR 9.3 million) in the business year 2017. The profit per share amount to EUR 5.6 (previous year EUR 2.5).

Investments amounted to EUR 6.7 million in financial year 2017.

Increased dividend distribution

Einhell follows its profit-oriented dividend policy. The board of directors and the supervisory board will propose at the general meeting on 22 June 2018, a dividend for the listed preferred shares of EUR 1.20 per share and for common shares EUR 1.14 per share.
