DGAP-News: CompuGroup Medical SE - First Quarter Results 2018

Koblenz - May 3, 2018: CompuGroup Medical SE (CGM) today presented the financial report for the first quarter of 2018. The company, one of the leading global providers of eHealth solutions, achieved revenue of EUR 166 million compared to EUR 142 million in the same period last year. This corresponds to 17 percent organic growth. The operating profit (EBITDA) increased 29 percent and reached EUR 39 million in the quarter. The corresponding operating margin was 23 percent, up from 21 percent last year.

With this result, CGM has made a strong start to the new year. The roll-out of the Telematics Infrastructure in Germany proceeds according to plan with accumulated more than 20,000 orders for the CGM connection package and over 13,000 live installations by the end of the first quarter. CGM expects the number of installations to grow at an increasing pace in the coming quarters.

In other business segments, hospital information systems and pharmacy software started the year strongly with 5 respectively 6 percent organic growth. In the hospital business, this is a very good result especially given that a change to customer contract structures have reduced pass-through revenue from 3rd party software compared to last year. The hospital business is currently dominated by the activities in the DACH region with Germany, Austria and Switzerland currently making up over 70% of the revenue in the segment. In the pharmacy software business, the German and Italian markets continue on a consistent growth path with well-established products and services.

CGM reaffirms the full year 2018 guidance presented in the 2017 Annual Report. Group revenue is expected to be in the range of EUR 700 million and EUR 730 million and operating profit (EBITDA) between EUR 175 million and EUR 190 million.
