DGAP-News: CompuGroup Medical SE / Key word(s): Quarter Results
CompuGroup Medical SE - Second Quarter Results 2017 All business segments continue to perform well after the good first quarter start announced in May. For the first six months of 2017 combined, revenue reached EUR 281 million, up from EUR 271 million last year, and EBITDA reached EUR 63 million, up from EUR 61 million in the first half of 2016. In addition, the first stage testing in the strategically important pilot project for the electronic health card and Telematics Infrastructure in the Northwest region of Germany has now been successfully completed which paves the way for the nationwide roll-out of the Telematics Infrastructure to begin. CGM has already launched the sales campaign for its Telematics Infrastructure connection package to doctors and dentists all over Germany with an early-booker offer valid until the end of August which safeguards a running connection to the Telematics Infrastructure before the end of 2017. The orders received will be installed as soon as the necessary infrastructure components (e.g. connector, card reader, VPN access service, central components) have been certified and approved for productive operation. Frank Gotthardt, CEO and Chairman of the Board of CompuGroup Medical SE, stated: "We have fought hard this quarter to stay on track both in our running business and in all our preparations for the national roll-out of the Telematics Infrastructure. As for the second point, not only have we been able to accommodate a broad range of new requirements which were added by the authorities all the way up to late June, but in parallel to this also developed a highly efficient installation and deployment process over a shorter time period to compensate for these delays and maintain our 2017 outlook. I am delighted by the initial reception by doctors and dentist to the offer we launched in July and I look forward to connect a substantial number of practices to the Telematics Infrastructure by the end of this year. These early adopters are the true pioneers of German healthcare and their commitment makes a strong contribution to solve the enormous challenge of the industry to serve their whole customer base in an ambitious time frame and to keep all customers safe and compliant to the eHealth law while at the same time securing doctors and dentists the maximum cost reimbursement under their financing agreements." CGM reaffirms the full year 2017 guidance presented in the 2016 Annual Report. Group revenue is expected to be in the range of EUR 600 million and EUR 630 million and operating profit (EBITDA) between EUR 138 million and EUR 150 million.
