Dietmar von Blücher announced as new Chief Financial Officer of comdirect

- Dietmar von Blücher succeeds Holger Hohrein

- Business Development & Innovation linked even closer to CEO

Quickborn, Germany, July 05, 2016. The Supervisory Board decided to appoint Dietmar von Blücher (43) as new member of the Board of Managing Directors of comdirect bank AG. This decision is still subject to regulatory approval. Dietmar von Blücher is named as successor of the former Chief Financial Officer, Holger Hohrein, who stepped down from his position with effect from June 30, 2016, as announced in March.

Dietmar von Blücher is currently Divisional Manager of Group Finance Activities at Commerzbank AG for the Non-Core Assets segment and for the Hypothekenbank Frankfurt. The trained business economist, worked in various management roles at Commerzbank and Dresdner Bank. He brings considerable experience in the areas of credit, risk and finance, controlling as well as managing strategic projects, especially those focussing on IT.

"I am pleased that in Dietmar von Blücher, we have named a proven finance and risk expert as upcoming Chief Financial Officer. In the last few years, he has successfully fostered strategic topics within the Group," said Michael Mandel, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of comdirect. "I am certain that he will make an equally important contribution of comdirects strategic development." After his appointment Dietmar von Blücher will be responsible for Finance, Controlling & Investor Relations, Risk Management & Compliance as well as Information Technology at comdirect.

The division Business Development & Innovation will in future be led by CEO Arno Walter. "Being innovative has always been part of our DNA," said Walter. Recent innovations include the smartPay app with archiving function, simple investment using shopping discounts with the "Bonus- Sparen" programme, as well as the new trading app, which will be available soon."Our goal is very clear: We continue to be a digital pioneer and will even stronger become the smart financial companion to our clients" Walter stresses.
