LION E-Mobility AG would like to inform that an investment of EUR 2.5 mln has been signed with an existing strategic investor. The board of directors has resolved, by using the existing authorized capital, to increase the share capital from CHF 998.426,91 by CHF 92.857,05 by issuing 714,285 new shares at a total issue price of EUR 2.5 mln. The pre-emptive rights of the shareholders have been excluded.
Tobias Mayer President of the Board of Directors Information and Explanation of the Issuer to this News: LION E-Mobility is pleased to announce a EUR2.5 mln investment from Mr. Ian Mukherjee who already is a significant existing strategic investor in the company. Mr. Mukherjee will subscribe to 714,285 shares, adding to his position following his meaningful investment in LION E-Mobility in 2017. Mr. Mukherjee will closely work with the Board of Directors at LION E-Mobility and specifically focus on negotiations with potential large industry partners. He will be assisted by Christian Kutscher, formerly a Managing Director at JPMorgan, London and current advisor to LION E-Mobility. The Board of Directors will suggest Mr. Mukherjee as additional member of the Board of Directors in a news release following shortly. 'We very much look forward to potentially welcoming an experienced investor like Mr. Mukherjee onto our Board of Directors and will strongly support his election', said Tobias Mayer, President of the Board of Directors. 'Mr. Mukherjee will bring invaluable relationships and contacts with potential financial as well as automotive industry partners to LION E-Mobility'. About Ian Mukherjee Ian Mukherjee was the founder and Chief Investment Officer of Amiya Capital, a London headquartered Hedgefund with more than $2bn under management principally invested in Emerging Markets and offices in Europe and Asia. Mr. Mukherjee did close Amiya Capital in 2018 to fully focus on his Family Office as well as serve on boards of several for and non-for profit companies and trusts. Prior to founding Amiya in 2005, Ian was a Partner and Managing director of Goldman Sachs where he spent 14 years including 6 years based in Asia.
