DeVry Brasil To Acquire Faculdade Martha Falcão

(RTTNews) - DeVry Education Group, Inc. (DV) said Thursday that DeVry Brasil has entered into an agreement to acquire Faculdade Martha Falcão.

Located in the city of Manaus in the state of Amazonas in northern Brazil, Faculdade Martha Falcão currently serves about 3,500 students and offers undergraduate and graduate programs in high-demand career fields such as business, accounting, law, information technology and engineering.

The deal is expected to be completed in the second quarter of fiscal 2015.

DeVry Brasil currently operates seven educational institutions in the country's northeastern region: Fanor in Fortaleza, Ceará; ÁREA1 and Ruy Barbosa, both located in the city of Salvador, Bahia; Faculdade Boa Viagem in Recife, Pernambuco; UniFavip in the city of Caruaru, Pernambuco; DeVry João Pessoa in Paraíba State and Facid located in Teresina, Piauí. The institutions provide services to more than 33,000 students on 12 campuses and offer undergraduate and graduate programs focused on business, healthcare, law and engineering.
