Dentsply International Inc Announces 5% Gain In Q3 Bottom Line

(RTTNews) - Dentsply International Inc (XRAY) reported a profit for its third quarter that increased compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line came in at $93.5 million, or $0.66 per share. This was up from $89.3 million, or $0.62 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.63 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 8.4% to $648.9 million. This was down from $708.2 million last year.
