Daniel Tisch, APR, FCPRS receives Canadian Public Relations Society's Outstanding Achievement Award

CHARLOTTETOWN, May 27, 2018 /CNW/ - For his year-long commitment to the #ElevatePR campaign, the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) presented Daniel Tisch, APR, FCPRS with the 2018 Outstanding Achievement Award at Connexions 2018 at Charlottetown's Delta Prince Edward Hotel.

"It's been an incredible privilege to start a national dialogue about the elevation of public relations – and an incredible honour to accept this award today. This is really a collective achievement – one made possible by the participation of CPRS leaders, academics and professionals across Canada, who share an ambition to enhance the value of PR to our clients, our organizations and our society. I am profoundly grateful to be part of this important journey."

Since releasing his white paper, the Elevation of Public Relations: A Discussion paper on a profession's present – and its possible future, Tisch has spent much of the past year raising awareness of the seven 'megatrends' affecting the profession today, on a cross-Canada tour intended to empower practitioners to contend with each, while gathering crucial feedback to inform the Society on how to best support its members moving forward. This feedback has since been incorporated into the Future of CPRS Committee's What We heard document and influenced the new strategic framework it proposed in January 2018.

Nominations for the Outstanding Achievement Award are made each year by CPRS members to recognize a single, significant contribution made by a fellow member, which resulted in the betterment of the Society and the enhancement of its public image.

Previously, Tisch has been awarded the 2016 Phillip A. Novikoff Memorial Award, the 2013 Award of Attainment and the 2013 Don Rennie Memorial Award for Excellence in Government Public Relations. He is both an accredited member of the Society (APR) and a member of the CPRS College of Fellows (FCPRS).

The Award of Attainment was one of 10 Major and Special Awards presented throughout Connexions 2018, to recognize exceptional involvement and commitment in the public relations profession.
