Cypress Semiconductor Reports 18% Advance In Q4 Profit

(RTTNews) - Cypress Semiconductor (CY) reported earnings for its fourth quarter that gained ground from last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $53.82 million, or $0.15 per share. This was up from $45.53 million, or $0.13 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.14 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 16.2% to $530.17 million. This was up from $456.38 million last year.
