Curian Capital Names Michael Bell President & Chief Executive Officer

Prior to today's announcement, Mr. Bell, 42, had been Senior VicePresident and Chief Legal Officer of Curian Capital, withresponsibility for all of the company's asset management, legal andcompliance operations.

"Michael has been extensively involved in Curian's corporate,strategic and product development initiatives," said Mr. Jack. In addition to his role as Chief Legal Officer, Mr. Bell has hadoversight responsibility for the Curian Asset Management department,and was Chairman of Curian's Investment Policy Committee. He has alsobeen a voting member of Curian's Operations, Steering and InvestmentPolicy Committees.

He hadpreviously been with the law firm of Latham & Watkins in Washington,DC, where he developed a corporate finance practice and specialized incapital markets transactions, including initial public offerings ofdebt and equity securities. His legal experience also includes publicand private mergers and acquisitions, private financing and jointventure transactions for financial services clients.
