Cruise Lines Dump Tunisia After Terrorists Gun Down Passengers

(RTTNews) - More than 20 cruise passengers were killed, injured or missing in this week's terrorist attacks in Tunisia, prompting Costa and MSC Cruise lines to drop the nation as a port of call, effective immediately.

USA Today reports the Costa Fortuna, Costa Favolosa and Costa neoRiviera instead will head to other ports in the Mediterranean.

Meanwhile, three ships that MSC Cruises sends to Tunis will also go elsewhere, according to CruiseCritic.com

Four people have been arrested in connection with Wednesday's gun attacks at a museum in Tunis the left 23 people dead, including 20 foreign tourists.

"The safety of guests and crew members is Costa's top priority and represents a necessary condition for an enjoyable, serene holiday," Costa told USA TODAY.

Holland America has made no decision on its upcoming Tunis stops, the paper also reports.
