Please replace the release dated Nov. 19, 2007 with the following corrected version due to multiple revisions. The corrected release reads: RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES® OF ARKOMA TO RECEIVE $1.5 MILLION FROM TYSON FOODS, INC. FOR CARE MOBILE PROGRAM Today, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC®) of ARKOMA, established to serve the well-being of children in western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma, announced it will receive a $1.5 million grant from Tyson Foods, Inc. The funding will be distributed over a five-year period and will help support the development of a new Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Program for the ARKOMA chapter. "Tyson Foods has been a strong supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities for more than 20 years,” said Devin Cole, senior vice president of National Accounts for Tyson Food Service. "This year we’ve supported more than 40 RMHC fund-raising events in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Today’s announcement reflects our increased support of this important organization and its efforts to help children who have little or no access to health care. We’re especially pleased to help fund a project that will benefit children in Arkansas and Oklahoma.” "This tremendous grant from Tyson Foods will enable the RMHC of ARKOMA chapter to begin to develop services for children and families in our community,” said Bill Mathews, chairman, RMHC of ARKOMA and McDonald’s franchisee. "We look forward to the work ahead and encourage our western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma communities to partner with us.” The Ronald McDonald Care Mobiles provide medical, dental and health education to children who otherwise would go without health care. All Ronald McDonald Care Mobile services are provided in a 40-foot long, 8-foot wide, state of the art van built specifically for delivering pediatric health care services. As the chapter grows, it will continue to partner with the medical and business community to assess the most critical needs of children in the area and to raise funds to support the RMHC core programs that would best serve those needs. RMHC core programs include the Ronald McDonald Family Room, a home-like, safe haven for families and children in hospitals, or the Ronald McDonald House, which provides a "home away from home” for families of seriously ill children staying at nearby hospitals. "We welcome the new RMHC of ARKOMA Ronald McDonald Care Mobile into our family and are pleased to see the community come together to uphold the chapter’s mission,” said Marty Coyne, CEO, Global RMHC. "The remarkable support of Tyson Foods through its donation will allow the chapter to penetrate underserved areas by providing a place for families and their children to turn to in their time of need.” The Tyson Foods, Inc. donation was given in support of World Children’s Day at McDonald’s, an annual global fundraiser for children, which is celebrated in more than 100 countries. Funds raised will benefit RMHC and local children’s causes in communities around the world. Last year, World Children’s Day raised more than $27 million and since the program’s inception in 2002 more than $100 million has been raised globally. This year, World Children’s Day is officially celebrated on Tuesday, November 20th. About Tyson Foods, Inc. Tyson Foods, Inc.
