Corning Announces Dr. Jeffrey Evenson to Join as Senior Vice President

Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) today announced that Jeffrey Evenson, Ph.D., is expected to be elected senior vice president and a member of the company’s management committee. Dr. Evenson will focus on a number of strategic programs, growth initiatives and special projects on behalf of the senior leadership team.

Dr. Evenson, 45, joins Corning from Sanford C. Bernstein, where he served as senior vice president and senior analyst, U.S. Data Networking since 2004. Previously, he was a partner with McKinsey & Company, where he spent 11 years.

Dr. Evenson is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with an undergraduate degree in physics. He also holds a doctorate in physics from Harvard University. Dr. Evenson plans to relocate to Corning with his wife and two children.
