Core Laboratories Q3 Profit Tops View; Guides Q4 - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Core Laboratories N.V. (CLB) Wednesday reported third-quarter net income attributable to common shareholders of $61.90 million, or $1.35 per share, compared to $54.40 million, or $1.14 per share in the same period last year.

Net income excluding special items rose to $62.28 million or $1.36 per share from $53.55 million or $1.13 per share in the year-ago period. On average, fifteen analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $1.34 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Revenues for the quarter grew to $273.16 million from $245.43 million last year, while ten analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $267.23 million for the quarter.

Looking forward to the fourth quarter, Core expects earnings of $1.39 to $1.40 per share and revenues of $278 million to $281 million.

Analysts currently estimate earnings of $1.38 per share on revenues of $272.56 million for the quarter.

The Company's outlook for 2014 remains positive.
