(RTTNews) - Coach, Inc. (COH), a leading New York design house of modern luxury accessories and lifestyle collections, Tuesday said fourth-quarter reported net income was $75.28 million or $0.27 per share, compared to $221.34 million or $0.78 per share last year.

Excluding transformation and other related actions, net income for the quarter totaled $164 million or $0.59 per share, compared to net income of $254 million or $0.89 per share in the prior year's fourth quarter.

On average, 33 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.53 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Net sales fell 7 percent to $1.14 billion from $1.22 billion reported in the same period of the prior year. On a constant currency basis, total sales declined 6 percent for the period. Analysts expected revenues of $1.09 billion.

The stock, which closed at $34.31 on Monday, is up 5.5 percent in pre-market activity.
