Clorox China (Guangzhou) LTD Issues Voluntary Recall of Liquid Plumr® Slow Flow Fighter ® (formerly Foaming Pipe Snake®) Produced On or Before March 21, 2016

GUANGZHOU, China, Nov. 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- (NYSE: CLX)  The Clorox China (Guangzhou), LTD has filed its recall plan with AQSIQ and is conducting a voluntary recall since Nov. 8, 2016 for Liquid Plumr^® Slow Flow Fighter^® Clog Remover (formerly sold as Foaming Pipe Snake^®) produced on or before March 21, 2016.

The company has identified some instances of child-resistant closures not working properly on these products. There have been no reported injuries to date, and the company believes that most of these products have already been used. However, if consumers do have an affected product, they are encouraged to contact the call center listed below for instructions and a full refund.

What products are affected?
Liquid Plumr Slow Flow Fighter (formerly Foaming Pipe Snake) produced on or before March 21, 2016. These products have a batch/lot number of JS16081 or lower. This code is printed in a small box at the bottom of the back label.

No other Liquid Plumr products are affected by this recall. Products produced after March 21, 2016 (with a batch/lot number of JS16082 or higher) utilize a different child-resistant closure and are safe to use as directed.

What should consumers do?
Consumers should keep the product away from children and immediately contact the Liquid Plumr call center at 400-120-9053, Monday through Friday, email (LiquidPlumrRecallSupport@stericycle.com) or go to the website (www.liquidplumrrecall.expertproductinquiry.com) to confirm if they have a recalled product, and where they will be provided information on a full refund if they have impacted product.
