Church & Dwight Names Bruce F. Fleming Chief Marketing Officer

Church & Dwight Co., Inc. (NYSE: CHD) today announcedthat it has named Bruce F. Fleming, 48, as Chief Marketing Officer ofthe company.

Church & Dwight President and Chief Executive Officer James R.Craigie said, "Bruce has over 20 years of successful senior managementexperience in the consumer health industry. We are delighted that hewill be providing marketing leadership for Church & Dwight's portfolioof personal care and household products."

In the newly created position, Mr. Fleming will oversee themarketing of well-known brands such as Arm & Hammer(R), Trojan(R),First Response(R) and Xtra(R). Additionally, he will haveresponsibility for the company's advertising and market researchfunctions.

Most recently, Mr. Fleming was CEO, President and Director ofBriteSmile, Inc., Walnut Creek, Calif., a leading multi-nationalteeth-whitening enterprise with over 5,000 locations. Previously, hewas senior vice president and global head of Novartis' OTC medicinesbusiness in Summit, NJ.

Mr. Fleming is a 20-year veteran of Johnson & Johnson where herose to the level of worldwide vice president and served as a memberof the company's franchise management board. During his tenure withJ&J, he held marketing and management responsibilities for thecompany's Wound Care and Oral Care franchises, the Suncare andSpecialty Products businesses and the brands BAND-AID(R) and REACH(R)toothbrushes.

He began his career as a marketer at Procter & Gamble in 1979.

Mr. Fleming holds an AB degree in Economics cum laude from HarvardCollege and a Masters in Public and Private Management (MPPM) degreefrom the Yale School of Organization and Management.

Church & Dwight Co., Inc. manufactures and markets a wide range ofpersonal care, household and specialty products, under the ARM &HAMMER brand name and other well-known trademarks.
