ChipMOS Dec. Revenue Rises 5.8% - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Taiwan-based semiconductor company ChipMOS Technologies (Bermuda) LTD. (IMOS) reported that its December 2013 revenue grew 5.8% year-over-year to NT$1.63 billion or $54.8 million, from NT$1.545 billion, or $51.8 million. On a quarterly basis, fourth-quarter 2013 revenue totaled NT$4.89 billion or $163.9 million, up 0.5% from the same period in 2012.

The company said the recent quarter's revenue came in at the high-end of its guidance, which called for revenue to drop by around 4% - 8%, as compared with the third quarter of 2013, reflecting the impact of normal seasonality, along with inventory adjustments at a limited number of customers. The U.S. figures are based on the exchange rate of NT$29.83 to $1.00 as of December 31, 2013.
