Chemed Q3 Adj. Profit Tops View; Cuts FY13 Adj. EPS Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Chemed Corp. (CHE) Monday reported third-quarter net income of $17.4 million or $0.94 per share, compared with $20.8 million or $1.07 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the latest third quarter were $25.1 million or $1.36 per share, up from $24.7 million or $1.28 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $340.89 million, compared with $354.35 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $1.34 per share on revenues of $355.40 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For fiscal year 2013, the company now expects adjusted earnings of $5.60 to $5.65 per share, while analysts currently estimate $5.67 per share.

Earlier, the company expected adjusted earnings of $5.65 to $5.80 per share.
