"Dr. Robinson has made significant contributions to ANAC throughout his professional career,” said Adele Webb, PhD, RN, AACRN, DPNAP, FAAN, executive director and CEO of ANAC. "I am confident that it has been his leadership that has kept us at the forefront of the epidemic.”

"I am humbled and honored to receive the ANAC’s Lifetime Achievement Award,” said Dr. Robinson. "Throughout my career I’ve been fortunate enough to participate in an organization that truly makes the care of people living with AIDS a priority. I’ve grown as a person and as a healthcare professional by serving this organization and I look forward to continuing to improve the welfare of these patients in the future.”

The Lifetime Achievement Award is given to a current member of ANAC for outstanding lifetime accomplishments that have enhanced the Association. The award is recommended to the Board of Directors for approval by the ANAC President and is given at the Board’s discretion.

"Chamberlain College of Nursing is proud to see Dr. Robinson receive this prestigious honor as a way of recognizing his dedication to and accomplishments in AIDS care over the past two decades,” said Susan Groenwald, president of Chamberlain College of Nursing. "Dr. Robinson is an incredible individual who exhibits compassion, integrity and leadership in all facets of his life. He is truly impacting the future research and care of individuals living with AIDS through his work.”

Dr. Robinson joined Chamberlain College of Nursing in June 2010 as the dean of its new Chicago campus. He completed a three-year post-doctoral fellowship in biobehavioral nursing research at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s College of Nursing, where he went on to become a faculty member and executive assistant dean of administration.

In addition to his work in nursing education, Dr. Robinson has conducted research in HIV and published numerous research-based articles in various academic journals.
