CETECOM Selects Spirent Communications for Location Technology Conformance Testing

CETECOM has selected Spirent’s 8100 Location Technology Solution to provide the industry’s first and only SUPL 2.0 conformance test capability for GSM and WCDMA devices, based on standards from the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA).

SUPL 2.0 is the latest release of the Secure User Plane Location protocol that enables wireless service providers to provide a new generation of location based services (LBS). As a leading provider of testing services for location technology in mobile devices, the ability to test SUPL 2.0 enables CETECOM to add to its extensive validation experience as well as to extend its strong partnership and excellent collaboration with Spirent.
