Central National-Gottesman To Buy Domtar's Ariva Operations In U.S. -Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Central National-Gottesman Inc. (CNG) has inked a deal with Paper producer Domtar Corp. (UFS) under which CNG's unit, Lindenmeyr Munroe, would acquire the United States operations of Domtar's Ariva paper distribution business.

Headquartered in Covington, Kentucky, Ariva is a major U.S. paper distributor, with 15 locations in the East and Midwest. The closing may take place by July 2013 end. Following the deal closure, CNG would sell the Midwest locations of Ariva, located in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Fort Wayne and Indianapolis, to The Millcraft Paper Co., a paper merchant headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio.

This transaction is CNG's sixth acquisition of a paper merchant in the past four years, including five in the U.S. and one overseas.
