Central Garden Profit Rises On Higher Sales, Margins

(RTTNews) - Central Garden & Pet Co (CENTA) on Tuesday reported third-quarter net earnings of $18.8 million or $0.38 per share compared with $4.7 million or $0.09 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter were $459.4 million compared with $438 million in the prior year.

Gross margin for the quarter improved to 30.9% from 27.2% last year, and operating margin increased to 8.5% from 4.2%.

For the full year 2015, the company expects earnings to be $0.63 per share or higher.

Central Garden & Pet Co produces products for the pet, and lawn and garden supplies markets.
