Cavium Expands Partnership With Quantenna To Deliver 10G Wave 3 Wi-Fi Solutions

(RTTNews) - Cavium, Inc., (CAVM), a provider of semiconductor products, said it has expanded its partnership with Quantenna Communication to deliver the latest high-performance 10G Wave 3 Wi-Fi solutions for campus, home and high-density environments.

The newly announced Quantenna True 8x8 QSR10G Wi-Fi platform paired with Cavium's OCTEON III CN71XX high performance, low power quad-core processors will address the capacity, reliability, thermal and security challenges in next generation Wi-Fi access points, routers and gateways.

Separately, Quantenna announced the availability of the industry's first 10G Wave 3 Wi-Fi product family. The products are built on Quantenna's True 8x8 QSR10G Wi-Fi platform with multi-user MIMO technology for home wireless access points and residential gateways.

According to Quantenna, its up-to-12-streams 10G Wave 3 product family delivers unprecedented Wi-Fi performance, reliability and capacity for high-density environments, and can address both the service provider and retail market segments.
