Cable One Selects Time Warner Telecom as Primary Backbone Provider for Internet Services in Idaho
BOISE, Idaho, April 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Time Warner Telecom, Inc. a leading provider of managed voice and data networking solutions for businesses, today announced it was awarded a $2.5 million, multi-year contract to serve as the primary backbone Internet network provider by Cable One for its Boise system. Time Warner Telecom was selected as the preferred provider to support Cable One's Internet service after demonstrating its tremendous network reach, advanced technology, highly reliable network and superior customer support.

Time Warner Telecom will provide Cable One in Boise with a 10 Gbps Ethernet network infrastructure to support the cable company's high-speed Internet offering. Time Warner Telecom's network allows Cable One to provide the fastest high-speed Internet of any Internet service provider in the state. Further, Time Warner Telecom has constructed dual-entrance facilities for Cable One increasing reliability and supporting the company's business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.
Time Warner Telecom also provides service to Cable One in Arizona and Texas. Cable One has found that Time Warner Telecom's end-to-end, fully redundant, fiber optic network, makes the company a good fit to support its services.
