BT Group Q2 Pre-tax Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Communications services provider BT Group Plc. (BT_A.L, BT) Thursday reported second-quarter profit before tax of 563 million pounds, up 13% from 499 million pounds last year.

Adjusted pre-tax profit was 690 million pounds, an increase of 13% from the prior year.

Earnings per share fell 28 percent to 5.6 pence. Adjusted earnings totaled 6.9 pence per share, up 15% from the previous year.

Revenues for the quarter edged down 1 percent to 4.44 billion pounds form 4.49 billion pounds a year ago. Revenue, before specific items, declined 2 percent to 4.38 billion pounds.
