(Nasdaq:BSML), a revolutionary tooth whitening product corporation that operates through corporate owned "whitening spa's", mall kiosks and dentists offices, has deployed the Juniper Networks integrated firewall and virtual private network (VPN) to securely transmit point of sale (POS) information from its spa's and kiosks back to its main headquarters in Walnut Creek, Calif.
    With its stringent requirements for a secure and assured network, BriteSmile engaged Accuvant, a leading nationwide security consulting organization, to devise and implement its security solution.

    Juniper Networks NetScreen-204s are located at BriteSmile's corporate headquarters in Walnut Creek, Calif., and are providing firewall and VPN protection. The NetScreen-204 offers up to 400 Mbps of firewall performance and up to 200 3DES IPSec VPN performance with support for up to 128,000 sessions.
    Juniper Networks NetScreen-5GTs are located at all BriteSmile's kiosks and spa's throughout the United States and offer firewall and route based IPSec VPN access for store managers to upload POS data back to corporate headquarters. The NetScreen-5GT offers up to 75 Mbps of firewall performance and up to 20 Mbps of 3DES IPSec VPN performance. With embedded antivirus and Deep Inspection firewall protection against the entry of viruses, worms and other network- and application-level attacks, the NetScreen-5GT effectively secures and assures BriteSmile's network.
