Brink's Q3 Profit Up On International Operations - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Security services firm The Brink's Co. (BCO) Thursday reported increased profit for the third quarter, reflecting strong performance from international operations.

Net income attributable to the company increased to $23.8 million from $13.5 million in the prior year. Earnings per share improved to $0.49 from $0.28.

Earnings per share from continuing operations advanced to $0.63 from $0.44. Revenues for the quarter improved to $1 billion from $944.9 million in the previous year.

Tom Schievelbein, CEO, said, "The improvement in third-quarter results reflects strong performance from international operations, driven primarily by profit growth in Venezuela, which more than offset a profit decline in North America.''

The company expects organic revenue growth of 5 to 8 percent for the year, compared to a 7 percent growth in 2012.
