Briggs & Stratton Profit Climbs 27% In Q2
(RTTNews) - Briggs & Stratton (BGG) announced earnings for its second quarter that advanced compared to the same period last year.
The company said its bottom line advanced to $15.14 million, or $0.34 per share. This was up from $11.89 million, or $0.26 per share, in last year's second quarter.
Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.18 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company said revenue for the quarter fell 7.0% to $413.38 million. This was down from $444.29 million last year.
