Bridgepoint Education Posts Loss In Q4
(RTTNews) - Bridgepoint Education, Inc. (BPI), a provider of postsecondary education services, posted a net loss of $6.5 million for the fourth quarter. This compares to a net profit of $18.4 million recorded a year ago. On a per share basis, loss was $0.12, compared to earnings of $0.33 for the same period last year.
The company's operating loss totaled $11.9 million compared to operating income of $28.9 million for the same period in 2012.
For the fourth quarter, revenue slid to $163.5 million from $209.4 million for the same quarter last year.
