Bohn named to American Bankers Insurance Association’s Board of Directors

William Bohn, President and CEO of Associated Financial Group, LLC, Kimberly, Wis., was elected to serve on the American Bankers Insurance Association’s (ABIA) board of directors at the association’s annual conference held in Washington.

ABIA’s mission is to develop policy and provide advocacy for banks in insurance and support bank-insurance operations through research, education, compliance assistance, and peer-group opportunities. The separately chartered affiliate of the American Bankers Association is the only full-service association for bank-insurance interests based in Washington D.C.

"We are very pleased to have Bill as an ABIA board member,” said Valerie Barton, executive director, ABIA. "His leadership and experience in the bank-insurance area will be a great asset to ABIA and its membership.”

Bohn has developed strong relationships with many fellow ABIA members, having a well-earned reputation as an expert on the complexities of successfully providing a wide range of insurance services within a banking infrastructure. He has actively served the banking and insurance industries in various capacities as both a leader and presenter on various topics. As a member of the board, he will play an integral role in helping the bank-insurance industry to expand its growth in the current environment.

"ABIA continues to serve as the leading advocate for banks offering insurance products and services,” said Bohn. "I am honored to represent Associated on the board of directors of this organization that is well regarded by lawmakers and regulators, and, most importantly, its membership.”
