BNET.com Launches New Business Video Channel

BNET.com, a division of CNET Networks (NASDAQ:CNET) (http://www.cnetnetworks.com), today launched BNET Video, a first-of-its-kind broadband channel containing content specifically tailored to the issues facing business managers and professionals in today’s corporate landscape. At launch, the original content lineup includes feature videos designed to complement and further expand on BNET’s core editorial content, a daily interview show named "Dog and Pony,” that highlights emerging and innovative business ideas, and Business Book Briefs, a segment in which prominent business authors explain the core ideas behind their books. "There’s a real gap between the content that business users want and need versus the content that’s available, regardless of the format,” said Stephen Howard-Sarin, vice president of business brands for CNET Networks. "Frankly, most of the business content that’s available on the Web is low-quality or it imitates the dry talking head format of Sunday morning newscasts. We think we can change that with BNET Video.” Though much of the video will be original, first-run content, BNET has sought out the best of existing business video content on the web and signed several distribution deals with content providers to syndicate their business video. One such arrangement will allow BNET to deliver interviews in the Selling Power series, featuring thought leaders and best practices for sales management. About BNET.com BNET.com helps business managers and professionals successfully navigate the corporate landscape through practical and actionable content addressing the workplace issues and situations they face.
