BlueRoads and WebEx Deliver Comprehensive Channel Management Solution; Accelerate Partner Sales and Improve Channel Analytics with One-Click Integration

    Business Editors/High-Tech Writers

SAN MATEO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 25, 2005--BlueRoads Corporation, a channel management software-as-a-service company, today announced the BlueRoads(TM) Interface for WebEx(TM), an integration of its BlueRoads 5 Suite and WebEx Meeting Center, a web meeting application from WebEx Communications (Nasdaq:WEBX). This integration improves communications and coordination with partners' sales organizations and enables high quality prospect engagements that increase close rates and shorten sales cycles.
Partners that do not have a WebEx subscription now have a means to present and meet online with respective customers by leveraging the vendor's WebEx account. Partners can even bring in a vendor's subject matter experts into a session with a single click. This new integration also allows channel managers to run detailed reports to gain complete visibility into their sales process.
The combined offerings from these two leading software-as-a-service vendors allow channel partner sales representatives to interact more effectively with prospects, involve subject matter experts easily, and answers questions instantly -- all while reducing support costs, travel requirements and the need for follow-up meetings. The integration leverages the WebEx MediaTone Platform, a standards-based platform for real-time web collaboration, and enables the two applications to work together as one seamless solution.

    One-click Integration

BlueRoads and WebEx have taken care to ensure that the integration of their applications offers unsurpassed ease-of-use. To begin, a vendor administrator selects a user base and product list to enable for WebEx access. This product list is then populated with supporting content for use within WebEx. Once authorizations have been completed, a partner sales representative can initiate a WebEx meeting with his or her sales prospect by simply clicking on the WebEx icon available within the sales opportunity details presented by the BlueRoads system. This action initiates a web meeting session between the sales representative and the prospect. While the session is established, a manufacturer's subject matter expert can be called in to attend the conference and support the partner. Such conferences can be initiated instantaneously while the salesperson is on the phone with a prospect or scheduled for a particular time.
Once the meeting has been completed, the vendor administrator can generate a usage report by channel sales user to see what meetings have been launched and what their outcome was in terms of the conversion of the prospect into a sale.
"BlueRoads(TM) Interface for WebEx(TM) represents a great opportunity for both our companies to expand the value we deliver to customers while extending our market reach," said Jeff Schmidt, vice president of Worldwide Channels. "Companies using WebEx and BlueRoads can now manage their partner networks in an integrated, real-time fashion and coordinate joint sales presentations to accelerate sales and improve pipeline visibility."
Axel Schultze, president and CEO of BlueRoads, said, "Our WebEx integration gives vendors the ability to more effectively collaborate and actively participate with their partner sales reps to influence sales in an early stage and help shorten the sales cycle for their partners which leads to a measurable increase in partner profitability. It's a real competitive advantage for vendors to be able to insert their Subject Matter Experts directly into the sales cycle in real-time to assist in closing sales when the prospect is the most receptive."
WebEx provides a suite of on-demand web meeting applications that increase productivity and decrease costs in departments across the enterprise. All WebEx applications are built on the WebEx MediaTone Platform and delivered over the WebEx MediaTone(TM) Network, a global network specifically designed for real-time web communications. This unique technology enables WebEx to guarantee the performance, reliability and security of its services.
The BlueRoads(TM) Interface for WebEx(TM) solution will be publicly previewed at the WebEx Experience user conference on May 1-3, in San Francisco.
