Bluegreen Communities Applauds CNN Top 10 Hero of the Year Dan Wallrath

Bluegreen Communities® (NYSE:BXG), a developer of premier master-planned communities, applauds Dan Wallrath, founder of Operation FINALLY HOME, for being recognized as a CNN Top 10 Hero of the Year. Operation FINALLY HOME honors wounded and disabled veterans and widows of fallen soldiers with new homes. Bluegreen Communities will provide Operation FINALLY HOME a total of six lots throughout Texas to honor veterans and their families.

Wallrath founded Operation FINALLY HOME in 2005, and over the past few years he has helped to provide nearly a dozen injured Iraq and Afghanistan veterans mortgage-free homes. Operation FINALLY HOME has 10 more custom homes planned or under construction.

On Saturday, September 25, 2010 at 10:00 a.m., Dan Wallrath and Operation FINALLY HOME will host a ground breaking at The Bridges at Preston Crossings, 17970 FM 121, Gunter, Texas 75058. The public is invited to honor the families, meet Dan Wallrath and participate in a day of fun. The ground breaking marks the construction of two homes for war heroes Sergeant First Class Alan Hornaday and his wife, Sheila, of Fordyce, Arkansas, as well as Sergeant Levi Wilson and his wife, Katie, of Fort Worth, Texas. Sergeant First Class Hornaday is a veteran of the U.S. Army who sustained injuries in Baghdad in 2004, and Sergeant Wilson is a U.S. Army veteran who was also injured in Iraq in early 2008.
