Blue Ridge Partners Announces New Roles and Responsibilities
MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 30, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Blue Ridge Partners, a management consulting firm exclusively focused on helping companies accelerate profitable revenue growth, is pleased to announce three new Managing Directors:
- Brad Turner, joined Blue Ridge Partners in Boston
- Derek Mills, promoted effective January 1, 2020 to Managing Director in New York
- Chris Sorrow, promoted effective January 1, 2020 to Managing Director in Atlanta
The firm is also pleased to recognize the advancement of the following personnel to new levels of client service responsibility:

Our New Managing Directors
Brad Turner is an accomplished business leader with a background in strategy consulting, private equity portfolio operations, and front-line leadership roles in information services and software companies. Most recently, Brad served as the Chief Revenue Officer of Access Information, a private equity portfolio company formed from acquisitions in the physical and digital records industry. He drove the integration and transformation of the core commercial teams and led the company's digital (SAAS) efforts. Prior to Access, Brad was head of global sales strategy and enablement for IHS (now IHSMarkit), a $2.5B information services company in the energy, automotive, chemicals, financials, and maritime space. Prior to IHS, Brad was the general manager of Harris Corporation's commercial media software business unit focused on the television advertising sales and content distribution space. He drove R&D rationalization, grew the top-line, and led the sale of the business unit to private equity. Earlier in his career, he spent five years in Berkshire Partners' portfolio operations group as well as serving as a consultant with Bain & Company. Brad has an MBA from Kellogg, and a BS in Finance from the University of Virginia.
Derek Mills joined Blue Ridge Partners in 2015. Since then Derek has led some of the firm's most important and impactful client engagements, helping the firm's business services, financial services and technology clients to identify and execute on opportunities to accelerate growth, enhance go-to-market strategy, improve commercial effectiveness and design solutions to key strategic and operational challenges. Prior to joining Blue Ridge, Derek was a member of the investment team of Brahma Management, a private equity fund based in New York. With Brahma, Derek led and contributed to a series of equity investments across the technology, services, industrial, healthcare, automotive and consumer products sectors. He also worked extensively with the firm's portfolio companies on both strategic and operational issues, serving as a director of DLF Homes Panchkula and Gajraj Commercial. Earlier in his career, Derek was with Goldman Sachs in the firm's investment management division based in San Francisco. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an AB from Georgetown University.
Chris Sorrow joined Blue Ridge Partners in 2017 and has been instrumental in building our global pricing practice. Prior to joining Blue Ridge, Chris spent 15 years in a variety of consulting roles, focusing exclusively on pricing since 2010. He has helped over 60 companies complete successful pricing initiatives in a range of industries including manufacturing, business services, software, and consumer products and services. Chris began his consulting career with McKinsey & Company in Atlanta. He later joined the Corporate Executive Board in Washington, DC, where he was a leader of the CEB's practice service for Chief Legal Officers and later launched a new business serving Audit Committees. Chris also spent time at several technology start-ups. He led corporate development efforts for Sandbox.com, the world's first online free fantasy sports provider, and he was responsible for international licensing and distribution at NFR Security, a provider of network security technology. Chris holds a JD from the Yale Law School and a BBA from the University of Georgia.
